2021 A Moment of Grace Syrah

Old world in style, this restrained Syrah brings images of fig and smokey bacon tart to mind. On the nose, black cherry is coupled with scents of plum skin, tobacco leaf and gingerbread molasses. On the palate, plum compote flavors prevail, with warm kirsch undertones balanced by earthy flavors of dried mushrooms, black tea and hints of leather. Cherry cola lingers on the palate, while huckleberry and violet elongate the complex finish. This wine screams out for a pairing of sweet-glazed smoked meat.
